As B.C. wide restrictions have lifted (April 8, 2022) - wearing a mask is now optional in our space. Our team at Luna Float want you to feel comfortable and safe. We aim to match your energy and if you are wearing a mask, and or would like us to as well we are more than happy to do that too.
Thank you for your support
We are fortunate that the nature of our business is already considered 'low risk' as we have always had stringent cleaning practices and also been able to practice physical distancing since our services are pre-booked appointments with offset time slots. Often we can be quite busy and guests don't see each other as they are in their private rooms. and entering and exiting at different times.
Passports NOT required
As a personal service establishment we never have required these and now (As of April 29, 2022) proof of vaccination isn't required in B.C. any longer
Other COVID Information
We are very fortunate that our space and services are already relatively 'low risk': - we aren't a busy/crowded space - human interaction is brief and can be done at a distance - guests are alone for the majority of their visit - they are showering twice if they're floating - and our already thorough cleaning procedures will be heightened BUT we also acknowledge that some of our clients might be higher risk (immune compromised, asthmatic, pregnant, etc.) So we are taking all recommended precautions very seriously and following the guidelines provided to us this past Friday from WorkSafeBC and the provincial health officer We understand that COVID-19 can be passed when people are asymptomatic and we will be operating assuming that anyone could potentially be carrying it without knowing. This means we will be hyper vigilant in disinfecting all surfaces that our guests could touch or leave droplets behind on.
So what will these changes look like? Our Space: - We will have a recommended "sneeze guard" barrier at our front desk - We will have some indicators on the floor to assist with maintaining social distancing of 6ft+ - The lounge will be closed for now to keep the flow of guests moving (books and mugs will be removed) - Post Float prep area offerings will be reduced, we will still have a brush and hair dryer available or you can bring your own from home - Coat rack will be moved, you will be asked to bring all of your belongings with you or leave coats in your car - There will be hand sanitizer around the space, we ask that you sanitize or wash your hands as soon as you enter Your Appointment: While our times were already staggered in a way that limited the number of people in the common areas at one time - we still modified it to reduce the amount of guests even more AND to allow more time in between for more cleaning and disinfecting. You will notice that you cannot book online for an appointment unless it's over 2 hours away. You can however call or email if looking to get in sooner. No walk in appointments please! - Please arrive no earlier than 15min before appointment time and be aware of your distance to our other guests IF there is one inside too - We may not be able to accommodate late arrivals, please phone and let us know if you are running behind - Each guest will be asked to certify that they haven't knowingly been exposed to the virus and that they aren't experiencing any symptoms. - If you are not feeling well or exhibit ANY symptoms related to COVID-19 we ask that you reschedule your appointment (NO cancellation fee) - After your appointment you may have some water (we will be supplying disposable cups) but ask you do not stay in the lounge area at all - After your appointment you may use the post float prep area to blow dry your hair if you would like, if you need something and don't see it ask our employee as we will be reducing what is left on the counter there. Please be aware of your time and of your space around other guests and our staff - While we are doing our best to disinfect surfaces even more than normal, help us by washing your hands, sanitizing before touching stuff, sneezing/coughing into elbow, using facial tissue provided and taking it with you or putting it in our garbages. Cleaning and Disinfecting: Luckily we have already been masters of cleaning and disinfecting since we first opened, but we've added a few extra steps for good measure! - Our float solution already goes through a 4 part filtration cycle (>4 times) involving a basket and micron filter, UV light, and ozone - Our waiting and treatment areas and equipment are sanitized to prevent surface transmission between clients - We provide guests with alcohol-based hand sanitizers and promote hand washing in our washroom - All disinfectants and sanitizers are approved by Health Canada (DIN or NPN number) - Commonly touched surfaces and shared equipment will be cleaned and disinfected after contact between individuals How you can help: - The best ways are limiting time in our space and being aware of your proximity to our staff and other guests - Washing/sanitizing your hands before touching areas in our space (the two showers don't hurt! haha) and minimize what you touch - Avoid touching your eyes/nose/mouth (easy to do in the tank because you don't want epsom salt stinging any of those parts anyways) - We will still be able to converse and be friendly! I know many people are a bit starved for human interaction, we can find a happy balance while staying safe. We appreciate your patience and cooperation!
More COVID info if interested: This graph (sorry I had to - love me a good visual aid) shows how risk is reduced in 3 ways: 1) number of contacts (we do not have a lot of people in our space at any given time and when there are more than say, 6 people (including staff) they are far away from each other and normally in a separate room by themselves). 2) proximity and length of time you are near someone else is also very low, we can greet you from our front desk (behind our new recommended sneeze guard barrier) and you will go to your private float room, sauna room ,or neurospa chair.
